Anyone who has sailed in the most common areas in good weather has longed to sail without the need for constant evasive maneuvers or the battle for moorings etc.  On Cape Breton, this dream becomes reality in a magical island world in the clear Atlantic water.  Although this region is world famous (was named one of the most beautiful place on earth by 100,000 Americans)

Details of Hobie 16

For sailors, there is nothing more beautiful than enjoying the independence and speed of a pure sailing experience.  Since the Hobie has no keel or center-board, you can beach it practically wherever you want. One summer vacation isn't enough to get to know this region. There are plenty of life vests, wetsuits, drysuits, wading boots etc. on hand for your enjoyment

After the sailing adventure, you can enjoy a heated out-door shower or the many other comforts of the small boat-center.

This is the hull of the seagoing OCEAN KAYAKS. You sit in a virtually enclosed space, which makes it different than sitting in an open canoe.  If water comes in, it immediately runs out through six open drains. The boats are so difficult to tip that you can climb in over the side, from the water, without capsizing. This makes them ideal for use while swimming, fishing and kayaking in rough water (with life jacket, of course). The boat can be carried by one person. There are also two very comfortable Kautschuk seats (not pictured above), that you can fasten in the front and back of the boat for two people, or in the middle for one person, and thereby balance the boat well. !

Whether with Hobie Cat, Optimist or a seaworthy Ocean Kayak, we are always ready with a motorboat: the house is the ideal starting point for the discovery of the offshore island or the river.

When the tide comes in, you can float in a kayak with the tidal waters from the house against the river currents, and then, after a couple of hours, when the tide ebbs, you end up where you started.
